CCB Farm is a beautiful homestead filled with love and happy animals. We have developed a significant laying hen facility (most people call it the Ritz for chickens. LOL), we raise very friendly Boer Goats, cookie monster Zebu Cattle, amazing German Shepherds, and we have several retired show horses enjoying their lazy life. In addition, we have a variety of plant life that surrounds us.
With well over 40 years of experience, we have learned an amazing amount of plant and animal knowledge, which we are always happy to share with others who want to learn about raising their plants and animals.
Whether you are interested in purchasing animals, plants, or produce, we are happy to provide you with any advice to help you succeed. We know the various experiences you will enjoy are endless, unique, and immensely gratifying. We look forward to helping you move forward on that journey.
As children, before they even knew each other, both Carol and Chris loved animals aspiring to have them in their lives.
From early on, Carol showed dogs in both conformation and obedience which led to her becoming a professional handler. She bred and raised some of the top Labrador Retrievers in the country at that time and competed at a national level in obedience competitions. She bought her first horse when she was eighteen and taught herself to ride. She collected many varieties of animals as well such as goats, many varieties of birds, several breeds of dogs, and more since she loves all of God’s creatures. Following her heart, she opened a small chain of pet stores where she gained further invaluable experiences as her destiny began.
Growing up, Chris had a family dog which he dearly loved. While getting his degree from Texas A & M, he worked part time for pet stores where he discovered a love for fish and birds. Instead of following his degree in Industrial Engineering, he took a position as a sales rep for a pet distributor.
Guess how they met?? Yep, Chris called on Carol’s pet stores and the rest was history.
Throughout their marriage, they have accomplished amazing things because of their shared love of animals. They of course combined his and her animals – dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, goats, etc. As time went on, they became deeply involved with breeding and showing Peruvian horses for many years. They went on to start several animal related non-profit organizations – most noteworthy is the nationally recognized Guardian Angels Medical Service dogs where they have saved hundreds of lives – both four-legged and two-legged.
Today, along with overseeing their non-profits, they have grown their tranquil farm and inspired many others with its beauty and way of life.
